blep memecoin: $28M Volume, Clones With Zero Liquidity
The blep memecoin blepmehsol was Solana's most traded meme on November 1 with about $26M+ in volume on a ~$206K cap, while several clones showed near-zero liquidity.
Early story. Some claims here are not officially confirmed yet. We update this post as it confirms.

- The main BLEP pool opened at 02:05 UTC on November 1 and showed roughly $28.8 million in volume against about $97,000 of liquidity.
- Several same-name pools showed liquidity of zero or a few dollars, yet still logged millions in volume.
- One copy displayed a "market cap" of about $6.35 million with just $2.32 of liquidity behind it.

The blep memecoin frenzy is a textbook case of volume that means less than it looks. A Solana token called blepmehsol, ticker BLEP, was the single most traded memecoin on November 1 by sasa's count, with about $26 million in 24-hour volume on a market cap near $206,000. At our DEX Screener check at 06:01 UTC (09:01 MSK), at least five Solana pools carried the same name, and most of them had almost no liquidity.
What actually happened
"Blep" is long-running internet slang for an animal caught with the tip of its tongue sticking out, and cat bleps are a meme staple. Overnight, that meme became a ticker. sasa's Solana board for November 1 listed blepmehsol at the top of the day's new launches by volume, and again at the top of its most-traded list, up about 2,200% on the day.
The same board also shows how crowded the name got. BLEP pools opened at 00:46, 01:24 and 02:05 UTC, and the 01:24 version had already collapsed to a market cap of about $180, down 98%, while still showing more than $760,000 in volume.
DEX Screener's search told a similar story. Besides the main pool, one BLEP pair created on October 31 showed about $19 million of volume with zero liquidity. Others showed several million dollars of volume and liquidity measured in cents. There was even a same-name token on Base with a market cap near $10,000.
Reading the blep memecoin numbers
At our check, the main Solana pool showed:
- Market cap: about $233,000
- 24-hour volume: about $28.8 million
- Liquidity: about $97,000
- 24-hour change: about +2,460%
Daily volume was roughly 120 times the market cap and about 300 times the liquidity. When numbers look like that, the same tokens are being bought and sold over and over, usually by trading bots, snipers and wash-style activity rather than a crowd of new holders.
The zero-liquidity copies are the bigger warning. A pool with no liquidity cannot absorb a sale, so any "price" or "market cap" shown for it is close to meaningless. That $6.35 million market cap on a pool with $2.32 in it is a display artifact, not real value.
Volume is the most faked number in memecoins. Liquidity is the one that tells you whether you can ever get out.
A pattern we keep seeing
This is the same reflex behind the clone waves we covered in safu memecoins and the crowded launches in halloween memecoins. A catchy name trends, dozens of contracts appear within hours, and the dashboards fill up with huge volume figures that mostly reflect bots trading against each other.
sasa counted 914 new Solana meme pools on November 1 alone. With that many launches, a single cute name can be deployed many times before most traders even see it.
How to tell pools apart
Start with the creation time. The main pool in this case opened at 02:05 UTC, while some copies appeared earlier and others later. Being first does not make a token legitimate, but it helps you match what you see on social media with the right contract.
Then compare liquidity, not price. A real pool with around $100,000 of liquidity behaves very differently from a pool with a few cents in it, even if both show the same name, ticker and logo.
Finally, look for any public links. DEX Screener listed no website or social accounts for the main BLEP pair at our check. That is common for overnight memes, but it also means there is no team to hold accountable if the blep memecoin chart goes to zero.
What to do as a reader
Ignore 24-hour volume as a signal of demand. For any blep memecoin, check liquidity first, then holder concentration, then whether liquidity is locked.
Copy the exact contract address from a trusted tracker such as DEX Screener and compare it before every swap. Same-name tokens are everywhere.
Avoid pools with zero or tiny liquidity entirely. You may be able to buy, but you may not be able to sell.
Nothing here is investment advice. Clone-heavy memecoins usually lose most of their value within days.
Not financial advice. DYOR, ser.
