The ethereum november 2 ladder on Polymarket puts the real fight at $2,300. At our 06:03 UTC snapshot on November 1 (09:03 MSK), "ETH above $2,300 on November 2" traded near 30.5% Yes, while "above $2,200" held at about 88.5%. Ether itself sat near $2,269 on CoinGecko, up about 1.2% over 24 hours, as Binance began reopening withdrawals.
What actually happened
Ether has been caught in the same Binance storm as bitcoin. The FBI said on Saturday that North Korea's TraderTraitor group was behind the roughly $6.3 billion theft and that the hackers had been converting the stolen tokens into ether, with "further laundering" expected. That makes ETH both the main laundering vehicle and one of the assets Binance had to buy back.
On the recovery side, Binance says ETH is among ten assets now fully backed, and ETH withdrawals on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and Optimism were part of the first reopening window from 06:00 to 09:00 UTC on Sunday, per Coinlive. Co-CEO Richard Teng said about 95% of the stolen assets had been replenished.
Fund flows were weak before the weekend. Crypto Briefing reported that spot Ethereum ETFs saw about $156 million in net outflows on October 30, with BlackRock's ETHA accounting for roughly $76.6 million. Relative to the Ethereum ETF pool of about $13 billion to $14 billion, that is a meaningful bite.
What Polymarket thinks
Here is the ethereum november 2 ladder from the Polymarket API at 06:03:20 UTC:
- Above $2,100: about 98.3% Yes
- Above $2,200: about 88.5% Yes
- Above $2,300: about 30.5% Yes
- Above $2,400: about 2.6% Yes
- Above $2,500: about 0.9% Yes
The event had roughly $172,000 in total volume and about $75,000 traded over the prior 24 hours. The $2,300 rung showed a 30/31 cent book, so the quote is tight.
In plain terms, traders see ETH ending Monday's noon candle somewhere between $2,200 and $2,300 most of the time. Spot is about $31 below the $2,300 line, so a modest push higher would flip that rung, yet the crowd still gives it less than a one-in-three chance. The downside rung at $2,200 says a drop of about 3% by Monday is priced near 11.5%.
The live board is on the Polymarket event page. Resolution uses the close of the Binance ETH/USDT one-minute candle at 12:00 ET (17:00 UTC, 20:00 MSK) on November 2, not an index price.
Compare that with yesterday. Our snapshot of the November 1 ladder on Saturday morning had the $2,200 rung near 82.9% and the $2,300 rung near 8.5%. One day later, the same strikes for Monday sit at 88.5% and 30.5%. That is a clear improvement in mood, driven by the recovery headlines rather than any change in Ethereum itself.
The shift also shows how cheap the upper rungs were on Saturday. A rung that moves from under 10% to about 30% in a day is a reminder that daily ladders are dominated by short-term news flow.
The ethereum november 2 market is pricing a quiet Monday. Quiet is not what this week has delivered.
What could move ether by Monday
The hacker's wallets are the obvious wildcard. Large ETH balances controlled by the attacker can be moved or swapped at any time, and the FBI explicitly expects more laundering. Big transfers to mixers or exchanges tend to spook traders even when the amounts are small relative to daily volume.
The Binance restart is the second factor. If the first withdrawal window passes smoothly and more networks come online, confidence could return quickly. Delays or another pause would hit sentiment.
Then there is macro. US markets reopen on Monday, the midterm elections follow on Tuesday, and AI-linked tech stocks fell hard on Friday. Ether has tracked risk assets closely this month.

What to do as a reader
Use the ladder as a read on sentiment, not a promise. A 30.5% rung only $31 away from spot can swing to 60% or 10% on one headline.
