The bitway fed rally put BTW at the top of large-cap gainers boards on October 28 even though the token is not a pure frog-coin narrative name. TokenPost's evening snapshot said Bitway rose 12.75% to $1.73 through 12:08 p.m. ET and led the top-90 list excluding stables, after an earlier morning note had BTW up 19.50% to $1.74 through 8:08 a.m. ET.

What actually happened

Bitway (BTW) spent Fed decision day looking like a high-beta risk expression. TokenPost published two separate market snapshots with different cutoffs, which is why the percentages disagree if you strip the timestamps. The morning piece had BTW at $1.74 after a 19.50% climb through 8:08 a.m. ET, with Pepe second at +16.65%. The evening piece cooled that to +12.75% at $1.73 through 12:08 p.m. ET while still calling Bitway the leader among the largest coins by market value, excluding stablecoins.

Unhashed used a third clock. Through 11:00 UTC on October 28 it showed BTW up 27.9% and PEPE up 15.3%, and it argued the likeliest explanation was a market-wide relief bid ahead of the Fed, amplified by thin liquidity and short covering after bitcoin had slipped under $80,000 on October 27. That outlet was careful to say those gains are poor evidence of matching fundamental changes.

By our CoinGecko snapshot at 06:11 UTC (09:11 MSK) on October 29, BTW traded near $1.80 with a 24-hour change of about +1.71%. The bitway fed rally had already cooled versus the October 28 peaks. Cite the clock every time you quote a percentage, or you will invent a contradiction that is only a timestamp mismatch.

Relief tape is not a whitepaper

Unhashed's framing is the cleanest way to read the day: Fed-week risk appetite, not a sudden Bitway product launch. Bitcoin had recovered toward $81,000 in Asian trading on the 28th in that same note, and high-beta names with thinner books simply moved more. TokenPost's leaderboards reinforce the "large-cap gainer" optics without claiming a new roadmap item.

We already covered Bitway's prior peak narrative in Bitway BTW ATH. This piece is the Fed-week chapter: same ticker, different catalyst. Readers who only remember the ATH headline will misread a liquidity squeeze as confirmation of a new fundamental regime.

Meme and alt desks still bundled BTW with PEPE on the same screens. That is why this landed in our Memecoins lane even though Bitway is not a cartoon mascot coin. High-beta relief trades show up next to frog charts when desks sort by 24-hour percent, which is exactly how TokenPost and Unhashed presented the tape.

How to avoid percentage traps

Three outlets, three windows, three different 24-hour gains. None of them is "wrong" if the cutoff is honest. The mistake is blending Unhashed's 27.9% through 11:00 UTC with TokenPost's 12.75% through 12:08 p.m. ET into one fake number. Keep each figure glued to its source and time.

Also separate spot performance from volume quality. TokenPost's boards are market-cap ranked snapshots; they do not by themselves prove durable spot demand. Pair the gainer list with bitcoin context from Bitcoin October 29 odds and the broader Fed path in Polymarket October Fed odds before you decide the move "means" anything structural.

Thin books turn a Fed headline into a carnival ride. Enjoy the chart, distrust the myth.

That warning applies whether you are staring at BTW, PEPE, or any other high-beta name on a Fed calendar day.

What to do as a reader

If you track the bitway fed rally, open TokenPost and Unhashed with the timestamps visible and ignore unsourced percent claims on social. Check CoinGecko or your venue after the move cools; our $1.80 / +1.71% print is already a different story from Oct 28's peak prints.

Do not invent a fundamental catalyst CoinDesk-style outlets did not report for this session. Size for slippage if you trade at all. Nothing here is investment advice, and high-beta names can erase a Fed-day gain before the next CPI print.
