The bitcoin november 1 ladder on Polymarket says the crowd has stopped dreaming about $80,000 this weekend. At our 05:59 UTC snapshot on October 31 (08:59 MSK), "above $78,000 on November 1" traded near 27.5% Yes, while "above $76,000" held around 85.7%. Bitcoin itself sat near $77,174 on CoinGecko, down about 1.6% on the day.
What actually happened
The Binance hack set the tone again. CNBC reported that bitcoin fell about 4.1% to roughly $77,446 on Friday after the exchange disclosed a security incident with an estimated $6.3 billion impact. A Bloomberg report carried by Business Standard added that BTC dropped below $77,000 for the first time in more than a month and spent much of Friday near the lows.
There was a second weight on the tape. CoinDesk's live coverage tied the crypto slide to weak tech earnings and fears about AI spending, with the Nasdaq down more than 2% on the day. When risk assets bleed together, bitcoin rarely gets a free pass.
Binance, for its part, says it has set aside more than $6.34 billion to cover the losses and is targeting Sunday to bring withdrawals back, with a full proof of reserves report promised by Monday. That gives the bitcoin november 1 market a very specific backdrop: the resolution day and the planned reopening are the same Sunday.
What Polymarket thinks
Here is the bitcoin november 1 ladder from the Polymarket API at 05:59:42 UTC:
- Above $74,000: about 97.7% Yes
- Above $76,000: about 85.7% Yes
- Above $78,000: about 27.5% Yes
- Above $80,000: about 2.9% Yes
- Above $82,000: under 1% Yes
The event had about $195,000 in total volume, with roughly $64,000 traded in the previous 24 hours. That is decent for a daily ladder but thin enough that a single size order can nudge a rung.
Read it like a probability curve. The crowd's center of mass sits between $76,000 and $78,000, which is basically where spot is trading. The $78K rung at 27.5% says traders see a rebound of roughly 1% as possible but not the base case. The $80K rung at under 3% says a squeeze back to the old range by Sunday noon would be a genuine surprise.
You can check the live board on the Polymarket event page. The full rules matter here: resolution uses the close of the Binance BTC/USDT one-minute candle at 12:00 ET (17:00 UTC, 20:00 MSK), not an index price.
The bitcoin november 1 market resolves on Binance's price, during the very week Binance is the story.
Why the Binance candle matters
Trading on Binance kept running while withdrawals were paused, so the BTC/USDT pair still prints a price. Normally that price tracks other big venues closely. It is still worth checking whether Binance's quote stays in line with the rest of the market into Sunday, because a market that settles on one venue inherits that venue's quirks.
If Binance reopens withdrawals on schedule, some users may move funds out quickly. Nobody knows how much, and we are not going to guess. What we can say is that the hour around noon ET Sunday may be busier than a typical weekend session.
We covered the previous day's version of this market in bitcoin october 31 and the hack itself in binance 6.3b hack. The pattern since Thursday has been the same: each new detail about the breach has pushed the ladder lower, not higher.
What to do as a reader
Treat the ladder as a sentiment gauge, not a forecast you can bank on. At 27.5%, the $78K rung is pricing a coin flip that leans clearly to No. If you think a relief bounce is coming when withdrawals reopen, that is the rung where the disagreement lives.
Refresh the odds before you act on anything. Weekend crypto can move several percent in hours, and daily ladders reprice fast. Check the resolution time in your own timezone so you do not get caught by the noon ET cutoff.
Watch two dates: Sunday for the withdrawal restart and Monday for the promised proof of reserves. Either one landing smoothly or messily could move the whole ladder late in the session.
Nothing here is investment advice. Prediction markets can be wrong, and you can lose your whole stake on a single rung.
