paradigm hype unstake: $224M of HYPE Leaves Staking
The paradigm hype unstake moved about 2.55M HYPE, worth roughly $224M, out of staking across 15 wallets, though Paradigm restaked after a similar move weeks ago.
Early story. Some claims here are not officially confirmed yet. We update this post as it confirms.

- Lookonchain, citing MLM On Chain, says Paradigm did something similar a few weeks ago, then consolidated the tokens and staked them again.
- The remaining stake is worth about $1.26 billion, according to the same report.
- CoinGecko showed HYPE near $87.58 at 06:04 UTC (09:04 MSK) on November 2, down about 0.6% in 24 hours.

The paradigm hype unstake is the whale move Hyperliquid traders are watching this Monday. On-chain monitors report that Paradigm unstaked about 2.55 million HYPE across 15 wallets over two days, worth roughly $224 million. That is about 17.85% of the roughly 14.26 million HYPE the venture firm still had staked on HyperCore.
What actually happened
Paradigm is one of the biggest known HYPE holders. Over the two days ending November 1, wallets tied to the firm started unstaking a large chunk of their position, TokenPost and Lookonchain reported. Unstaking on Hyperliquid starts a cooldown before tokens become liquid, so these moves are visible well before any coins could hit an order book.
The key context is the last time this happened. Paradigm unstaked a comparable amount several weeks ago, consolidated the HYPE into a new wallet and staked it again, according to both reports. Lookonchain says monitors expect a similar operation this time, but stresses that the plan is unconfirmed.
Paradigm has not commented publicly on the move in the sources we reviewed. Until it does, this is on-chain behavior plus pattern matching, not an announced sale.
Why the paradigm hype unstake matters
Large unstakes get attention because they can be the first step toward selling. If $224 million of HYPE hit the market at once, it would test liquidity even for a large-cap token.
But context points the other way, at least for now. The firm's previous unstake ended in a restake, and the amount is under one-fifth of its remaining position. Wallet housekeeping, custody changes or validator switching can all look like this on-chain.
There is also a steady buyer in the market. Hyperliquid routes protocol revenue into HYPE buybacks through its Assistance Fund. TokenPost reports the platform received about $14.58 million in USDC reserve yield in October and expects more than $15 million in November, with a test transfer on November 1. In October, buybacks followed within about 48 hours of the yield arriving.
An unstake is a door opening. It is not proof anyone walked through it.
How the market is reading it
It helps to put the size in perspective. With HYPE's market cap near $21 billion on CoinGecko, the unstaked amount is around 1% of the token's total value. That is meaningful for order books, but nowhere near enough on its own to define the long-term trend.
So far, calmly. HYPE moved less than 1% in the 24 hours to our snapshot, which suggests traders lean toward the restake explanation. Last week's fund-flow data also showed money moving into Bitcoin, Ethereum and Hyperliquid products, per Lookonchain's feed.
We have covered other supply events on Hyperliquid in hype otc distribution and the buyback mechanics in hype aqav2 buyback. Both show the same lesson: the market cares most about who ends up holding the tokens.
What to watch next
Track where the unstaked HYPE goes once the cooldown ends. A move to a fresh wallet followed by a new stake would confirm the housekeeping theory. A move to an exchange deposit address would be a much louder signal.
Watch the November yield transfer and buyback timing too. If the Assistance Fund starts buying on schedule, it can absorb some sell pressure even if part of the Paradigm stack is sold.
Finally, keep an eye on the wider market. Bitcoin's reaction to the US midterms and the Binance hack fallout will move HYPE more than any single wallet, unless that wallet actually starts selling.
What to do as a reader
Do not trade the paradigm hype unstake on headlines alone. Check the wallets on a tracker and read the Lookonchain post for the original data.
If you hold HYPE, it helps to know where the big stacks sit and how long cooldowns last. That turns scary headlines into a timeline you can plan around.
Nothing here is investment advice. Large holders can change plans at any time, and on-chain patterns do not guarantee what comes next.
Not financial advice. DYOR, ser.
