Dacity Coin Solana: 2,900% After GTA 6 Trailer Flash
Dacity Coin Solana jumped ~2,900% in the hour after the GTA 6 trailer ($104K→$3.18M peak per Decrypt); DexScreener later showed ~$1.50M mcap.
Early story. Some claims here are not officially confirmed yet. We update this post as it confirms.

- Decrypt (Oct 16): Solana copycat ~2,900% hour pump, $104K → $3.18M peak; later ~$1.5M mcap (~53% off peak); Rockstar no comment.
- DexScreener (Oct 17 fetch): price ~$0.001536, mcap ~$1.50M, 24h volume ~$834K, 7,574 txns, 3,578 holders; pair ~5d 18h old.
- Token launched on Pump.fun Oct 11 (earlier peak $1.14M, then ~$144.7K); Decrypt noted 24 traders with >$10K profit and a top trader path of about $1,912 → $44K.

The Dacity Coin Solana copycat is the purest Rockstar-adjacent FOMO tape of the week: Decrypt reported that after the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer flashed an in-game “Dacity Coin” graphic on a plane, a Pump.fun Solana token using the same name jumped about 2,900% in the hour after the drop — from roughly a $104,000 market cap to a $3.18 million peak.
What actually happened
Rockstar’s official GTA 6 launch trailer showed a fictional in-game meme coin branded Dacity Coin. Within the hour, a preexisting Solana memecoin that reused the name — not an official Rockstar product — ripped on PumpSwap. Decrypt’s Oct 16 write-up is the primary narrative source: peak market cap $3.18 million, then a fade to about $1.5 million, roughly 53% below that print.
The Dacity Coin Solana story is not a brand partnership. Rockstar had not commented in Decrypt’s report. The Solana contract is an unofficial copycat that launched on Pump.fun on October 11, briefly touched about $1.14 million earlier, cooled toward ~$144.7K, then caught the trailer candle. That sequence matters: trailer FOMO landed on a token that already had a prior spike-and-fade cycle.
If you have been reading our Solana memecoin share and pump.fun Boost notes, the pattern is familiar — cultural attention arrives first, inventory distribution second, and screenshots outlive the bid.
Reading the DexScreener morning print
By the Oct 17 DexScreener fetch in our notes, the lead Dacity/TTWO PumpSwap pool sat near $0.001536 with about a $1.50 million market cap, roughly $834K of 24-hour volume, 7,574 transactions and 3,578 holders on a pair about five days and 18 hours old. That is still a trailer-week book, not a multi-month holder base.
Decrypt’s hour-after print and DexScreener’s next-morning card are two photographs. Do not average them into a “fair” price. The chart moved from a six-figure launch era into a multi-million peak and then into a ~$1.5M neighborhood while Rockstar stayed silent. Thin liquidity relative to that path means a mid-size clip still moves the pool.
In meme land the trailer is the spark. The contract is the asset. Rockstar silence is not a green light.
Same ticker elsewhere — other chains, other Solana addresses — is a different asset. Verify the pool you are quoting before you paste a percentage into a group chat. Our STREAM Solana surge and MissRose Solana surge pieces this week cover the same verification discipline on different tickers.
Why trailer FOMO dumps hard
Game and entertainment memecoins have a short half-life when the only catalyst is a screenshot from someone else’s IP. Decrypt’s profit table — dozens of traders north of $10K, one wallet marked from about $1,912 to $44K — is a reminder that early inventory can exit into the trailer candle. That is not a morality play; it is how Pump.fun discovery books clear.
The October 11 launch history also weakens any “brand new discovery” framing. The token had already printed a seven-figure peak and a deep cooldown before the trailer. Trailer FOMO re-lit the chart; it did not invent a new product. Extreme dump risk after cultural spikes is the default texture, not a bug unique to this ticker.
Compare that with older Solana meme cycles in DOPE memecoin surge: attention, distribution, then the screenshot economy arguing about yesterday’s percentage. If your chat is still quoting the $3.18 million peak without the “hour after trailer” label, you are already trading a fossil. The Dacity Coin Solana tape is a case study in that fossilization speed.
What to do as a reader
If you track the Dacity Coin Solana copycat for the game, write down three things before you quote a price: the timestamp (Decrypt Oct 16 vs DexScreener Oct 17), the venue, and whether Rockstar has said anything official. In the sources we used, Rockstar had not commented.
Treat “GTA 6” in the ticker as costume, not endorsement. Size as if a 50% drawdown from any peak print is a feature. Nothing here is investment advice, and nothing in this piece claims Rockstar affiliation.
