Bitcoin October 25 odds on Polymarket price BTC above $80,000 at noon ET Sunday at about 81% and above $82,000 at about 9.5%, with spot near $80,700.

Bitcoin October 25 odds: $80K Hold Priced Near 81%
tl;dr
  • The $80K line traded with bids around 80 cents and asks near 81, so the market leans Yes but leaves real room for a dip.
  • Bitcoin slipped about 1.4% over 24 hours after spot ETFs swung back to net outflows on Thursday.
  • The market resolves on the Binance BTC/USDT one-minute candle that closes at 12:00 ET on Sunday, October 25, which is 16:00 UTC.

Bitcoin October 25 odds on Polymarket say traders expect BTC to hold $80,000 into Sunday, but not by much. As of 06:21 UTC Saturday, the market priced BTC finishing above $80,000 at noon ET on October 25 at about 81%, above $82,000 at about 9.5%, and above $78,000 at about 98%, with spot bitcoin near $80,700.

What actually happened

The week started strong and faded. CoinDesk reported on Friday that bitcoin had recovered to around $81,700 after Thursday's tech-led sell-off, when the Nasdaq Composite fell 2.6%, its steepest drop since June. Altcoins and memecoins bounced harder than BTC that morning.

Flows turned the other way. The Block reported that US spot bitcoin ETFs saw about $636 million in net withdrawals on Thursday, erasing the previous day's inflows. CoinDesk, citing SoSoValue data, put the Thursday outflow at $635 million after more than $1 billion of inflows over the first three days of the week.

Macro is not helping either. Traders are looking ahead to the Fed's October 27-28 meeting, and CoinDesk noted Brent crude near $113 keeping inflation worries alive. At our CoinGecko check at 06:07 UTC on October 24, BTC traded around $80,657, down about 1.3% on the day, with a 24-hour range of roughly $80,455 to $81,939.

What Polymarket thinks

Polymarket runs a daily ladder called "Bitcoin above ___ on October 25?" Each line is its own yes/no market. Here is our final snapshot from the Polymarket API at 06:21 UTC on October 24:

  • Above $76,000: about 99%
  • Above $78,000: about 98.4%
  • Above $80,000: about 81%
  • Above $82,000: about 9.5%
  • Above $84,000: about 1%

The headline question here is "Will the price of Bitcoin be above $80,000 on October 25?", trading at roughly 81% Yes. The whole event had seen about $124,000 in volume at that point.

Read the ladder like a staircase. If $78K is about 98% and $80K is about 81%, traders put roughly 17-18% on BTC landing between those two lines at noon ET Sunday. If $80K is 81% and $82K is 9.5%, that leaves about 71% on the $80K-$82K band. In plain words, the crowd expects a quiet Sunday close not far from where BTC trades now.

The Bitcoin October 25 odds are mostly a bet on a sleepy weekend. A sharp move in either direction would surprise this market.

The weekly market "What price will Bitcoin hit October 19-25?" adds a warning. In our 06:21 UTC pull, a dip to $80,000 at some point before the week closes was priced around 52.5%, while a drop to $78,000 sat near 9%. So traders think touching $80K is close to a coin flip, even if closing above it at noon Sunday is more likely.

How to read these numbers

An 81% Yes price means about 81 cents buys a share that pays $1 if the specific Binance candle closes above $80,000. It is not a forecast from an analyst. It is just where buyers and sellers meet right now.

Weekend markets are thin. One large order on Binance can push price through a line for a few minutes, and only one minute counts here. That is why a market can sit at 81% and still lose.

If you want the backstory, our Bitcoin October 24 odds piece covered Saturday's version of this ladder, and our Bitcoin $80K dip odds explainer walks through the downside setup.

What to do as a reader

Check the live Polymarket ladder before trusting any snapshot, including ours. The Bitcoin October 25 odds will move every time BTC ticks, and they can swing hard in thin weekend trading.

Know the clock. The deciding candle closes at 12:00 ET on Sunday, which is 16:00 UTC and 19:00 in Moscow. Nothing after that minute counts.

Treat an 81% favorite as what it is: likely, not locked. Prediction markets are not savings accounts, and nothing here is investment advice. If you trade them, size small, read the rules and assume a roughly one-in-five outcome can happen to you.
