TeleMoney TM surge: 4,896% Spike, Then a ~$362K Cap by Morning
The TeleMoney TM surge hit $0.02579 (+4,896%) on CoinGecko Oct 12, but by 06:03 UTC Oct 13 TM sat near $0.000376 with a cap of roughly $362K.
Early story. Some claims here are not officially confirmed yet. We update this post as it confirms.

- TeleMoney lets creators launch pump.fun coins and route the creator fees to any Telegram username, paid out in GRAM. TM is the project's own token, launched October 10, and it is not an official Telegram token.
- Peak print: $0.02579, about $24.79M market cap and $62.87M volume (CoinGecko via The Crypto Times, 18:08 UTC Oct 12). Morning print: about $0.000376 and a ~$362K cap (CoinGecko API, 06:03 UTC Oct 13).
- Solscan showed the top 10 holders with about 24.21% of supply and the top five with 18.01%, and the payout system is custodial by the project's own description.

The TeleMoney TM surge was the loudest chart on Solana this week, and by Tuesday morning it had already turned into a cautionary tale. CoinGecko data cited by The Crypto Times showed TM at $0.02579 at 18:08 UTC on October 12, up 4,896.1% in 24 hours. When we checked CoinGecko's own API at 06:03 UTC on October 13, TM sat near $0.000376 with a market cap of roughly $362K.
What actually happened
TeleMoney posted its first X update on October 10. The pitch was simple: launch a coin on pump.fun and send its creator fees to any Telegram @username. The timing lined up with Telegram adding the option to send GRAM using just a username, which we unpacked in our Telegram Money wallet piece.
The plumbing, per a Bitrue explainer, works like this. A dedicated vault is set as the coin's creator, the fees get bridged from Solana to TON through Relay, and GRAM lands in the recipient's built-in Telegram wallet. There is also a Telegram bot that launches a coin when you send it SOL, no wallet connection needed.
On October 12 the project said 108 coins had launched through its tool, generating 262.8 SOL in creator fees and 17,411.2 GRAM in payouts. Those figures are self-reported. Nobody has audited them, and they describe a few days of activity.
Then the chart went vertical. The Crypto Times cited CoinGecko at 18:08 UTC: $0.02579, +4,896.1% in a day, a ~$24.79M cap and $62.87M in volume. Over the same window Solscan showed holders moving from 3,340 to 3,370, a net gain of 30 wallets. That is not what a retail stampede looks like.
The morning-after numbers
Here is the part the headline skipped. At 06:03 UTC on October 13 (09:03 MSK), CoinGecko's API listed TM near $0.000376, with a market cap of about $361.6K and 24h volume near $557.5K. The same feed stamps the all-time high at about $0.02619, at 13:57 UTC on October 12.
DexScreener told a matching story a minute later. The main PumpSwap SOL pool showed about $0.000377, a ~$362K cap, roughly $64K of liquidity and about $279K of 24h volume.
We are not blending those prints, and public data can't tell us whether the peak was a level anyone could actually trade size at or a thin-book spike. Either way, the gap between ~$24.79M and ~$362K is roughly two orders of magnitude. If you saw the TeleMoney TM surge headline overnight and assumed this morning's price was a normal pullback, look at the chart again.
A 4,896% candle on 3,370 holders is a liquidity event, not adoption data.
Why the Telegram angle matters
A lot of traders read "Tele" and "GRAM" and assumed this was a Telegram product. The Crypto Times stressed there has been no indication or announcement from Telegram making TM an official token. Bitrue adds that the payout flow is custodial: fees pass through the operator's wallet and get paid out by script, so recipients are trusting the operator.
The project says it keeps 10% of creator fees and spends that revenue buying back and burning TM. That is a tidy flywheel on paper. But burns only matter when they are visible on-chain and meaningful against the cap, and 262.8 SOL in fees is a decent first weekend, not a business yet.
The idea is not unique either. Bitrue points to Telepad and TelePaid doing similar Telegram-handle launches, so the niche is already getting crowded. For how quickly these cycles tend to fade, see our memecoin lifecycle study.
What to do as a reader
Verify the contract first. The TM address cited by Bitrue is 6KDpQM4BVDdtAkjtyFDiBCkbii8q8BieEyXXm6kNpump, and other chains have their own "TM" tickers. Match the full address on Solscan before you trust any chart or link.
Watch the top wallets. With about 24% of supply sitting in ten addresses, a handful of sells can move the price hard. Liquidity near $64K in the main pool means slippage will bite on anything bigger than a snack-size order.
Treat the TeleMoney TM surge as a story about Telegram-native payouts, not a price signal. If the product is real, it will show up over weeks as more launches, more fees and burns you can see on-chain. Curious how pump.fun handles fee routing on its own?
