Hood Sword Inu, ticker HOODINU, is the Robinhood Chain memecoin that more than doubled in a day with no clear reason. At 05:59 UTC on October 22, CoinGecko showed it at about $0.159, up roughly 137% over 24 hours, with about $27.6 million in reported volume. The surge looks loud on a price chart. The on-chain data looks a lot quieter.

What actually happened

Hood Sword Inu is a token on Robinhood Chain with a supply of 1 billion. Its main trading pair is a Uniswap pool that DexScreener says was created on October 4, 2026. The project lists a site at hoodswordinu.xyz and an X account, @Hoodswordinu. We could not find any announcement, listing or partnership that explains the move.

On October 21 and into October 22, the price ran from around $0.067 to a new high near $0.163, per Kriptosignal's CoinGecko figures. That outlet also listed the all-time low at about $0.011, so holders from the lows are looking at a very large multiple. CoinGecko shows no market cap for the token, only a fully diluted value of about $158 million at our snapshot.

Why the Hood Sword Inu numbers need a second look

The headline volume and the trade count do not fit easily. About $12.1 million in pool volume came from 671 trades, which works out to roughly $18,000 per trade on average. That is large for a fresh memecoin, and it hints that a few big wallets did most of the work.

Liquidity is the bigger caveat. DexScreener shows about $15.9 million of liquidity in the pool, but that figure is mostly the token itself: the pool holds roughly 100 million HOODINU against less than one unit of the paired asset. Liquidity counted in the token you are trying to sell is not money you can exit into. A sizeable sell would move the price hard.

Then the action stopped. By our snapshot, the last hour showed zero trades and the last six hours about $189 in volume. A coin that more than doubled and then went silent is a pattern worth respecting.

CoinGecko's $27.6 million volume figure is also higher than the $12.1 million DexScreener shows for the main pool. Data providers count different pools and venues, and some include trades that wash back and forth. When two trackers disagree by more than double, the lower number is usually the safer one to plan around.

A $158 million valuation with under $200 traded in six hours is a price, not a market.

The Robinhood Chain context

This is not the first wild memecoin on Robinhood Chain. Our Hood Inu crash story covered a different "Hood" dog coin that collapsed earlier this month, and the two should not be confused. Our Robinhood Chain meme losses piece looked at how many traders lost money on the chain's early launches.

The chain is new and the trading crowd is small. That makes it easy for a handful of wallets to paint a big candle. It also means scanners and copycats are busy: on the same day, another Robinhood Chain token, ASTRO, was flagged as a likely scam by token scanners shared on X after a huge spike, which is why we did not cover it.

What to do as a reader

Check the contract before anything else. CoinGecko and DexScreener list the Robinhood Chain address starting 0xe59d and ending 8972. Copycat tickers appear within hours of any pump.

Look at the pool, not the chart. If the real paired liquidity is under one unit, a small sell can wipe out the price you see. Watch the trade count and the time since the last trade.

If you still want exposure to Hood Sword Inu, size it as money you can lose in full. Nothing here is investment advice, and there is no catalyst on record. Memecoins on new chains can drop as fast as they rise.
