The CONDOM Solana surge is a microcap volume story that already aged a full night. DexTrading’s report at 13:25 UTC on October 15 had CONDOM at $0.00004899 (+18.9% 24h) with a $47.5K market cap, $20.8K of liquidity and $2.81M of 24-hour volume — about 59 times the cap. By about 05:58 UTC on October 16, DexScreener’s main PumpSwap pool showed roughly $0.00001675, a ~$16.3K cap, ~$10.8K of liquidity and only about $149K of 24-hour volume, down roughly 30% on the day.
What actually happened
CONDOM is a Solana Token-2022 meme that DexTrading ties to PumpSwap as the lead venue among eight pools. The first pool opened at 14:05 UTC on October 14. The busiest hour in the DexTrading window was 16:00 UTC on the 14th, with $1.14M of volume, and the 24-hour range ran from about $0.0000038 to $0.0005401. That range alone tells you how meaningless a single mid-price quote is without a timestamp.
Tracked wallets were emphatically on the sell side: 738 buys worth $26.0K versus 3,835 sells worth $226.3K in 48 hours, enough for a #9 rank on DexTrading’s Solana hot list. Buys were only 16% of those tracked swaps. Meanwhile all traders on the main pool still showed a 56% buy share by trade count. That is the same “crowd buys, tracked wallets distribute” pattern we keep documenting on fresh Solana names, including neighbors in this week’s MissRose Solana surge and LOULOU Solana surge notes.
Why the CONDOM Solana surge cooled
A 59× volume-to-cap print is not a liquidity badge; it is a warning that the entire float can turn over many times while the dollar cap stays tiny. When that frenzy fades, absolute volume collapses faster than Twitter narratives. The morning DexScreener card is what that fade looks like: still a live pool, much smaller turnover, lower price, thinner book.
DexTrading’s safety checklist at 13:25 UTC said mint and freeze were revoked, name/logo locked, and no transfer-fee hooks. Liquidity was 43.7% of market cap — a fair relative cushion that still implies double-digit slippage on a $1,000 clip in their own impact estimate (~10.3%). Relative cushions do not stop absolute drawdowns on a $47K coin.
Holder and pool fragmentation add noise. Eight pools mean price can disagree with itself across venues for minutes at a time. Always ask which pool a screenshot came from. The main PumpSwap pool address DexTrading cites ends in a recognizable explorer link; our DexScreener bookmark is FezVa6…HCFg.
High volume on a micro cap is a blender, not a moat.
Copycat CONDOM tickers already exist on Solana explorers. The only address we are using is the one ending in ConDom above. If a site or bot quotes a different suffix, stop. Our Solana memecoin share context still holds: Solana is where this style of attention concentrates, and concentration cuts both ways.
Anatomy of a one-day meme celebrity
The CONDOM Solana surge also shows how DexTrading’s “why trending” genre works. Heavy turnover, a tracked-wallet rank, and a sub-day-old pool are enough to auto-generate a report even when the dollar cap is smaller than a suburban condo. That does not make the report wrong — the numbers are on-chain — but it does mean “trending” is a flow label, not a quality score.
Compare the sell skew here (5.2-to-1 among tracked wallets) with Nihilism’s 2.3-to-1 skew in the same DexTrading batch window. Different magnitudes, same directional tell: inventory that knows where the exits are. If your timeline is still captioning the $0.00054 wick as “the price,” you are archiving, not trading.
Age remains the silent input. At the DexTrading timestamp the pool was about 23 hours old. By our morning pull it was into day two with volume down by an order of magnitude. That is the default half-life for joke tickers unless an exchange listing or a celebrity quote extends the clock.
What to do as a reader
If you are tracking the CONDOM Solana surge, keep the two dated prints separate and refuse any undated screenshot. Check condom.fun only after the on-page contract matches Bs5o…ConDom. Assume tracked-wallet net selling means inventory is looking for exits, not that “smart money is accumulating.”
Size as entertainment money or not at all. Microcaps can lose most of their value inside a session. Nothing here is investment advice.
