StonkFun holder rewards: The $90M Headline Is Really About $19.6M
StonkFun holder rewards passed a flashy $90 million milestone, but that figure is marked to today's prices. Valued when each payout landed, the total is closer to $19.6 million.
Early story. Some claims here are not officially confirmed yet. We update this post as it confirms.

- Lookonchain reported on October 5 that StonkFun has distributed over $90 million in cumulative rewards, and that the platform made $590,268 in revenue on October 4.
- The stonk.fyi rewards dashboard shows $90.46 million "at today's prices" versus $19.61 million "at payout time." Same coins, very different headline.
- Rewards come from a 1% or 3% transfer tax on newer launches, paid automatically to holders in the coin's paired asset. There is nothing to claim.

StonkFun holder rewards just crossed a flashy milestone. The Solana launchpad says it has paid out more than $90 million to holders of its reward tokens, but its own public ledger shows that figure is marked to today's prices. At the moment each payout landed, the total was closer to $19.6 million.
What actually happened
StonkFun is a Solana token launchpad, the team behind the @LaunchOnSF account. Its twist on the pump.fun formula is "reward mode": coins that share their trading fees with holders. According to the official StonkFun rewards page, newer v3 launches fund rewards with a transfer tax of 1% or 3% set at launch. Earlier launches used about 85% of their 4% pool trading fees.
Payouts go out pro rata in whatever the coin is paired against. If a meme is paired with ZEC, holders get ZEC. If it is paired with an xStocks-style ticker like NVDAX, they get that. When the platform holds a large share of a coin's supply, rewards can be paid in the coin itself.
On October 5, Lookonchain posted the $90 million milestone. It also said StonkFun generated $590,268 in revenue on October 4, sent $353,601 to buybacks and burned 1.79 million STONK.
StonkFun holder rewards, decoded
Here is why the two numbers matter. The rewards are paid in dozens of different assets. If you add up every payout using current prices, you get the big number. If you use the dollar value StonkFun recorded at the moment of each payout, you get the small one.
The stonk.fyi dashboard, which says it reads payouts from the chain, showed $90.46 million at today's prices and $19.61 million at payout time when we checked. It also listed 51.2K reward coins, 46.32 million individual payouts, and lifetime payouts equal to 60% of all fee revenue. In plain English: some reward assets went up a lot after being paid out, and that pumps the headline.
The leaderboard is pure degen poetry. The top reward coin, ZCAT, has paid out about 8,000 ZEC, worth roughly $10.78 million at current prices. Other big payers on the list are paired with tickers like GLDX, NVDAX and HYPE. Holder counts on the top coins run into the tens of thousands, though the dashboard warns its holder totals are summed per coin and are not unique wallets.
"$90M paid" and "$19.6M paid" can both be true. Always ask: valued when?
The momentum check
The flywheel is cooling. The same dashboard showed $2.44 million paid to holders in the last seven days, down 41.2% from the prior seven. The average full day across 72 complete days was about $271,700. That is still real money, but it is not accelerating right now.
STONK itself was around $0.188 with a market cap near $150 million on that snapshot, down 6.9% on the day. Buybacks and burns support the token, but they do not make the price go only one way.
There is also a "community mode." The dashboard says those coins split payouts 67% to their own holders and 33% to holders of the paired quote token. That is how some existing memes end up earning rewards from new launches paired against them.
For context on the wider launchpad fee war, see our pump.fun app fees explainer and the PUMP weekly rally piece. StonkFun is basically betting that sharing fees beats hoarding them.
What to do as a reader
First, when anyone quotes StonkFun holder rewards, ask which number they mean. The $90 million figure is a mark-to-market total. The $19.6 million figure is what StonkFun recorded when it paid. Neither is a yield promise.
Second, a reward coin still has to hold its price. A 3% transfer tax that pays holders is also a 3% cost on every transfer. If the coin dumps 50%, a few percent of fee drip will not save you.
Third, check which asset you would be paid in. Getting rewards in a volatile token means you are stacking two risks. Verify every contract on the official site, avoid copycat tickers, and size small. This is not investment advice. Rewards are nice, ser, but they are not a floor.
Not financial advice. DYOR, ser.
