Early story. Some claims here are not officially confirmed yet. We update this post as it confirms.

startupSI rally: AI-Founder Coin Hits $15M, Then Bleeds 37%
tl;dr
  • DexScreener, 05:55 UTC Oct 20: price $0.01508, market cap ~$15.03M, 24h volume ~$13.09M, liquidity ~$383K on a single PumpSwap pool created October 18 at 18:34 UTC.
  • Caller accounts claim an intraday peak in the mid-$30M range; we could not confirm the exact top, so treat it as a claim, not a print.
  • The project site still shows an empty products row ("The first products land here") and says plainly that holding the coin is not a share in any startup.

The startupSI rally on Solana tripled the token in a day and then started leaking. At 05:55 UTC on October 20, DexScreener showed startupSI at about $15.0M market cap, up 246% over 24 hours but down 37% over six hours and 33% in the last hour. A day earlier, around 06:10 UTC on October 19, the same pool sat near $5.0M.

What actually happened

startupSI launched on Pump.fun on Saturday evening UTC and graduated to PumpSwap, the platform's own AMM. The pitch is very 2026: startupSI.org bills itself as an open launchpad where "every coin gets one AI founder." Launch a coin on Pump.fun and its creator fees pay for an AI agent that builds and ships a web startup in public. The site says 90% of each creator fee goes to the coin's own agent budget and 10% to the platform, locked on chain at launch. The token linked to the site on DexScreener is the startupSI coin itself, with a single X account, @startupSI_sol.

Then the crowd showed up. Over the past 24 hours the pool logged about 164,553 buys against 26,516 sells, per DexScreener. That ratio looks bullish at first glance, but it is a classic pattern of lots of tiny buys, often from bots and volume tools, against fewer, bigger sells. The token also carries an active paid DexScreener boost, which pushes it up trending lists. CoinGecko's trending search list had it near the top on Tuesday morning.

The startupSI rally in numbers

Here is the honest picture of the startupSI rally at the snapshot. Volume of roughly $13.1M on a $15M cap means the whole market cap changed hands almost once in a day. Liquidity of about $383K is thin for that size. A $50K market sell would move the price by double-digit percent, and the 6-hour chart already shows what happens when a few large holders take profit.

Caller accounts on X posted their own versions of the run: one claimed an entry around $450K and a peak of about $36M, another flagged roughly $32M on Monday afternoon UTC and about $19M by 05:00 UTC Tuesday. Those numbers fit the direction of the DexScreener chart, but they are self-reported marketing. If you only remember one figure, use the timestamped one above.

Memecoin math: a 246% day and a 37% six-hour drop are the same chart. Pick which half you post.

The red flags

The loudest one is the spam. Dozens of near-identical "vote for startupSI" posts are pushing a CoinMarketCap community leaderboard and a Moonshot listing, and several of them quote contract addresses that start with 0x. Solana token addresses do not look like that. The real mint on DexScreener ends in "pump." Anything else is, at best, a copycat and, at worst, a drainer.

The second flag is the product gap. The site says the first products will "land here," and right now that row is empty. That is not a crime, it is just a coin trading on a promise. The footer says holding a coin "is not a share in the startup its agent builds," which is more honesty than most launches offer.

We saw a similar movie with a split-ticker mess in our SI market cap piece, and with the CLAUDIA AI memecoin spike that ran to about $9M before giving a big chunk back. AI-themed tickers pump on narrative and fade when nothing ships.

What to do as a reader

If you are tempted by the startupSI rally, check the contract on DexScreener yourself and ignore any address in a reply, a "vote" post or a DM. Look at the six-hour and one-hour columns before the 24-hour one, and compare liquidity with the size you want to trade. Never buy a coin because a bot thread tells you to.

Remember what you are holding: a fee-funded memecoin with no shipped product yet and no ownership rights, by the project's own words. That can still trade, but it is a pure sentiment bet with extremely high risk. Nothing here is investment advice, and you should never put in money you cannot lose entirely.
