RealFi mainnet renames the dollar token and keeps the yield as a target

The RealFi mainnet is a Cardano launch with a renamed dollar token, and the two October 1 write-ups do not share a yield or a wallet count. One page prints both. The other prints a CEO line and a wider expansion plan.

Early story. Some claims here are not officially confirmed yet. We update this post as it confirms.

The RealFi mainnet is live on Cardano in two October 1, 2026 write-ups, and they agree on less than a headline suggests. Both say the protocol launched after a testnet, with Lace, Liqwid, and SundaeSwap in the first set of integrations, and that the tokens were renamed. Only one page prints a yield target, a participant count, or a July testnet date. This article does not fill the blanks. It is not a yield pitch and not a trade.

TL;DR - BSCN, by UC Hope, is timestamped 2026-10-01T15:16:04Z, which is 6:16 p.m. in Moscow. CoinPasar, by Jesper Leong, is dated October 1, 2026. Both say the Cardano mainnet is up. - The rename, on both pages, is from USDr and sUSDr to USDrf and sUSDrf. USDrf is the dollar token. sUSDrf is what you get when that token is staked. - BSCN prints a target of up to 9% APY, called indicative and not guaranteed, plus "over 3,600" testnet participants and "more than 40,000" testnet transactions since July 6, 2026. CoinPasar does not print those numbers.

What actually happened

BSCN's story says RealFi deployed on Cardano mainnet to put idle stablecoin capital into institutional credit and trade finance, instead of leaving it unused on-chain. It describes two assets. USDrf is a dollar-pegged stablecoin backed by real-world assets. sUSDrf is the yield-bearing token holders receive when they stake USDrf. Yield, it says, comes from a reserve of real-world instruments, including money market funds, corporate floating-rate bonds, and direct lending to fintech, not from token incentives. A later line says reserves are further bolstered by US Treasury bills and global floating-rate bonds. Those are BSCN's asset descriptions. CoinPasar does not itemize the reserve.

The yield line is the one to read slowly. BSCN says RealFi is targeting sUSDrf yields of up to 9% APY through a reserve-backed structure aimed at sustainability, transparency, and capital efficiency, "though yields are indicative, variable, and not guaranteed." Up to 9% is a target on one page. It is not a rate you can quote as paid. CoinPasar never prints 9%, APY, or a reserve mix. If you only read CoinPasar, you do not have a yield number at all.

On the RealFi mainnet, partners match. BSCN names SundaeSwap, Liqwid, and Lace as the initial rollout, and says users can swap ADA or USDC for USDrf through partner decentralized exchanges. CoinPasar says Liqwid provides lending markets, SundaeSwap supports exchange liquidity pools, and Lace lets users reach RealFi from the Cardano wallet. Same three names. Different verbs. Neither page, in the text that loaded, prints a pool size or a lending cap.

The RealFi mainnet rename is explicit on CoinPasar: as part of the launch, stablecoins were rebranded from USDr and sUSDr to USDrf and sUSDrf. BSCN uses the new names from the first sentence and does not spend a sentence on the old tickers. A reader who still has a testnet bookmark for USDr needs CoinPasar's sentence, not BSCN's, to see the rename stated as a rename.

Where the two pages split

BSCN says the RealFi mainnet project is backed by Input Output Global, the company that leads Cardano's development. CoinPasar does not name Input Output. BSCN says a public testnet has been running since July 6, 2026, with over 3,600 participants and more than 40,000 transaction activities. CoinPasar says the mainnet follows "its latest testnet" and stops there. No July 6. No 3,600. No 40,000. Those figures stay BSCN's. This article did not open a company dashboard to re-count them.

The next-chain line is the cleanest disagreement. BSCN says RealFi has said the protocol will launch first on Cardano and expand to Ethereum shortly afterwards. CoinPasar says that following the launch, RealFi plans to expand to EVM-compatible networks next. Ethereum is an EVM network. "Ethereum shortly" and "EVM-compatible networks next" are not the same sentence. One names a chain. The other names a family. Keep both. Do not collapse them into "Ethereum next week." Neither page prints a date for that expansion.

CoinPasar quotes John O'Connor, CEO of RealFi. The line is about building infrastructure that joins blockchain transparency with real-world finance, and a model "designed to protect capital as well as grow it." BSCN does not quote O'Connor in the text that loaded. The quote is CoinPasar's. It is a purpose sentence, not a metric. "Protect capital" is not a loss waterfall you can audit from that paragraph.

BSCN lists older sources under the story, including a CoinDesk testnet piece and a Crypto.news testnet piece, plus official documentation. This article did not open those older pieces or the docs. The 9% target and the 3,600 count are used here only as BSCN's live article states them. If those older pieces disagree, they are not in this comparison.

What neither page shows

Neither page shows a RealFi mainnet circulating supply, a reserve attestation, or a list of the loans behind the "direct lending" line. BSCN describes the kinds of instruments. It does not name a fund, a borrower, or an auditor. CoinPasar does not try. A stablecoin page without an attestation link is a description of a design. It is not proof the dollars are where the design says.

Neither page shows a mainnet transaction count for October 1 itself. The 40,000 figure is testnet activity on BSCN, since July 6. Do not recycle it as day-one mainnet volume. Neither page shows a price for USDrf other than the peg claim. A peg claim on a news page is not a trading print.

People comparing dollar tokens can read the Open USD note or the USDAU note. Those are other launches with their own reserve language. The RealFi mainnet is the Cardano one, with the rename to USDrf, and with a yield number that only one of these two pages is willing to print.

What to do as a reader (not a trade)

This is not investment advice and not a suggestion to mint, stake, or swap into USDrf. If you repeat the launch, repeat only the overlap: October 1, 2026 write-ups, Cardano mainnet, Lace, Liqwid, SundaeSwap, and the USDrf / sUSDrf names. If you repeat 9%, say BSCN calls it a target, indicative, variable, and not guaranteed, and that CoinPasar does not print it. If you repeat 3,600 participants or July 6, say those are BSCN's testnet figures. If you repeat the CEO line, say CoinPasar.

If you care whether the next chain is Ethereum or a broader EVM set, quote both pages and stop. "Shortly" is not a date. EVM-compatible is not a ticker.

The pages are BSCN's story and CoinPasar's story. Where one page has a number and the other has silence, keep the silence. Do not average a yield that only one desk wrote down.

Not financial advice. DYOR, ser.
