NORMIE pump.fun: A Fast-Food Ad Extra Becomes a Solana Memecoin
The NORMIE pump.fun coin grew out of a Pump.fun-branded ad clip on Oct 11. It traded near a $732K cap on DexScreener at 06:04 UTC Oct 13, with no official tie.
Early story. Some claims here are not officially confirmed yet. We update this post as it confirms.

- The ad is real enough to screenshot, but Pump.fun has not adopted the token. Trenches On, BiFu and the larpcheck verdict ("partly real") all draw that line.
- Contract cited by Trenches On, BiFu and DexScreener: DzMwArmdzPqcqgvyqAmTxy79XdA9NwK9mMteqWLJpump. Its main pool is a PumpSwap pair against PUMP.
- ATH claims differ: about $1.29M (Trenches On, not independently verified) and near $1.36M (BiFu). DexScreener showed about $732K at 06:04 UTC Oct 13, up roughly 27% over 24 hours.

The NORMIE pump.fun story started with an ad, not a token. On October 11, a clip of what appears to be a Pump.fun-branded ad went around X: a fast-food worker in a cap with golden arches, then the same guy in a suit against city lights. Within hours, Solana traders had attached a coin to him, and by early October 13 that coin, The Normie, was trading near a $732K market cap on DexScreener.
What actually happened
Trenches On reconstructed the timeline in Paris time. At 00:06 on October 11, an account called Feine shared a 23-second video showing the Pump.fun account, an "Ad" label and an install prompt. The character works a fast-food counter, then shows up in a suit while a trading screen flashes by.
At 11:32, an account called petal claimed the character was an AI creation meant to pull in "normies" and said the ads were running on X and Instagram. Trenches On flags those as petal's claims; only the X clip was verified. Three minutes later, petal posted the contract. That is the moment the meme got an address.
By 18:51, Feine was calling Normie Pump.fun's mascot for onboarding newcomers. Again, that is his read, not an announcement from Pump.fun.
The token, by the numbers
BiFu's explainer lists a supply near 978.9M on the Token-2022 program, with 1% of creator rewards going to holders and a reported 0% dev allocation. In its first 16 to 17 hours, BiFu says, 24h volume frequently topped $4M and holders passed 3,000.
DexScreener at 06:04 UTC on October 13 showed the main Normie/PUMP pool at about $0.000748, a ~$732K cap, roughly $529K in 24h volume and about $85K of liquidity. A Meteora SOL pool showed about $738K in 24h volume at the same check. We list those pools separately instead of adding them up.
The two ATH prints don't match, and we are not averaging them. Trenches On cites about $1.29M at 19:15 Paris time on October 11. BiFu says the ATH was near $1.36M. Different trackers, different minutes.
Ad lore vs official mascot
This is the core of the NORMIE pump.fun trade: proximity to Pump.fun's brand without Pump.fun's blessing. Trenches On says outright that the story does not establish that the platform launched this contract or adopted its ticker. The ad character and the coin traders picked remain separate things.
Critics showed up in the same threads. One reply argued that welcoming new users means fixing bundled buys and influencer side-wallets, not running happy ads. Another pointed out that the token's DEX link points to a tweet rather than a website. A fan account summed it up: buying a coin does not create a community.
The ad sells a dream. The token sells the ad. Neither is a roadmap.
It is also a crowded name. DexScreener search turns up spin-offs like The Black Normie, The Normina and The Quant, and CoinGecko lists older NORMIE tokens on other contracts. For more lore-driven pump.fun plays, see our pump.fun callout piece and our PUMP weekly rally recap.
Why traders care anyway
Memes that borrow a platform's own marketing have a built-in distribution story. If Pump.fun keeps running ads with this character, every view is free promo for the coin, whether Pump.fun likes it or not. That is the bull case the community is selling.
The bear case is just as simple. Pump.fun can change the ad, use a different character or say nothing at all. Without official adoption, the NORMIE pump.fun link lives entirely in traders' heads.
What to do as a reader
Match the contract. Use the full address DzMwArmdzPqcqgvyqAmTxy79XdA9NwK9mMteqWLJpump and ignore lookalikes, because copycat Normie tokens are already live.
Check liquidity before size. About $85K in the main pool means big orders will move price, and pairing against PUMP adds a second asset's volatility on top.
Watch the ad itself. If Pump.fun pulls the creative or swaps characters, the main narrative behind the coin weakens overnight, and that kind of change rarely comes with a warning.
Treat any "official mascot" claim as unverified until Pump.fun says it itself. Nothing here is investment advice; this is a meme about memes, and it can go to zero.
Not financial advice. DYOR, ser.
