The Dataline token sale is coming to Base through Uniswap's Continuous Clearing Auction, and the team says details drop next week. Dataline, a data network built for AI agents, announced a $10.6 million seed round on October 21 backed by Coinbase Ventures and Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, and it plans to launch its token before the end of 2026.

What actually happened

Dataline co-founder Nuo Shi told The Block that the company raised $10.6 million in seed funding. Symbolic Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Anagram and Vlad Tenev joined the co-leads, along with unnamed backers including a former head of the CFTC and founders or partners from Venmo, Anchorage Digital, NEA, General Catalyst, Jump Capital and FalconX. Shi declined to share the valuation.

Dataline sells data that AI agents can buy on demand, both on-chain and off-chain. It also uses AI to score each data feed for reliability, freshness and consistency, so an agent can decide whether to trust it. Shi gave a neat example: a stablecoin at $0.97 could be a bargain or the start of a depeg, and a plain price feed cannot tell which.

Per The Block, Dataline is already live with around 50 data sources. Its first "AI Data Launch" group includes Hyperliquid, Polymarket, Kalshi, Base, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, Sui and TON. Developers building on Base and Robinhood Chain get free access.

How the Dataline token sale is supposed to work

The plan is a public sale on Base using Uniswap's Continuous Clearing Auction system, known as CCA. Shi said Dataline wants it to be the largest Uniswap CCA held on Base so far. She would not say how much it aims to raise or how many tokens are on offer, and the team expects to share details next week.

After launch, the token is meant to power payments and access. Users could lock tokens for ongoing data access instead of paying a subscription. Data providers would stake tokens when submitting data. If a customer accepts it, the provider gets paid and the stake returns. If the data is rejected, AI reviews it first, then a network vote if needed, and providers who fail lose their stake.

Crypto Briefing adds tokenomics the company has shared: a 1 billion DLINE supply split into 33% community rewards, 30% ecosystem and foundation, 13% launchpad and liquidity, 12% team and 12% investors. It also notes the company was called Tearline until a rebrand on May 12, 2026.

Known: the venue, the chain and the supply. Unknown: price, sale size, vesting and float. Those unknowns are what decide how a launch trades.

The numbers to treat carefully

Dataline told Crypto Briefing its network has processed 19.4 million on-chain transactions with a 96.4% success rate for agent tasks. Those are self-reported and not independently verified.

The business model is also early. Dataline plans to take a cut of data payments but has not started charging fees yet, according to The Block. The company was founded in 2025 after winning a BNB Chain AI hackathon, and its team is based mainly in Europe and North America.

What to do as a reader

First, wait for the official terms. The Dataline token sale has no published date, price or allocation yet, and anything claiming otherwise before the announcement is a guess or a scam. Only trust links from Dataline's own channels and Uniswap's official interface.

Second, when terms land, read four things: total raise, tokens sold, vesting for team and investors, and how much supply is liquid on day one. Low float with big unlocks later is a pattern worth understanding before you commit a single dollar.

Third, separate the product from the token. A useful data network for AI agents can exist without its token performing well, and vice versa. Nothing here is investment advice, and token sales can lose value fast. Bookmark The Block's report and check back next week, ser.
