Arcus stock swaps add an RFQ route inside Robinhood Wallet

Arcus stock swaps are a new route inside Robinhood Wallet, and the two October 1 stories do not carry the same facts. The Block has volume and a CEO line from a company statement. Altcoin Buzz reads the developer docs and refuses to call the route a better price.

Early story. Some claims here are not officially confirmed yet. We update this post as it confirms.

Arcus stock swaps add an RFQ route inside Robinhood Wallet

Arcus stock swaps are an execution path, not a new stock, and the two pages opened for this piece barely overlap. The Block, dated October 1, 2026, reports an integration and a set of company figures. Altcoin Buzz, also dated October 1, describes how a request-for-quote differs from a pool, using Robinhood's own developer docs, and then says the brief does not show fees or a better price. Read them as two lenses. Do not merge them into one press release. This is not a trade.

TL;DR - The Block, by Brian Danga, is timestamped 2026-10-01T09:00:00−04:00, which is 4:00 p.m. in Moscow. It says Robinhood Wallet integrated Arcus's API for more than 190 stock tokens, for eligible users in supported jurisdictions. - Arcus told The Block it is one of several routing providers, that it uses competing market-maker quotes, and that an Arcus-routed swap may earn Arcus Points. Limit orders are via the wallet's dapp browser. - Altcoin Buzz says Robinhood's docs source signed quotes through aggregators including 0x RFQ, 1inch Fusion, and LiFi, and that the write-up has no fee or spread data. It does not print the $5 billion figure.

What actually happened

The Block says a statement shared with it on Thursday, October 1, 2026, is the basis for the integration details. Robinhood Wallet can route stock-token spot swaps through Arcus among other providers. Eligible users in supported jurisdictions get Arcus's liquidity and execution infrastructure inside the wallet. The lineup is more than 190 stock tokens. The Block adds history from that statement: Arcus, built by the team behind dYdX, launched on Robinhood Chain in July with more than 90 stock tokens. Perpetual markets remain in beta. Those sentences are The Block, citing the statement. Altcoin Buzz does retell the July launch and the move past 90 tokens, but it attributes that history to a supplied research summary, and it says the volume, trader count, and total value locked were not confirmed through a primary Arcus or Robinhood source.

The pricing model for Arcus stock swaps, on The Block, is the part worth keeping straight. Arcus does not rely on a single liquidity pool. Professional market makers compete to price each swap. That is a request-for-quote. The Block quotes the company: if a Robinhood Wallet user's swap is executed through Arcus, they may be eligible for Arcus Points. "May" is doing work in that sentence. It is not a promise that every swap pays points. Limit orders, the statement says, will be available through the wallet's dapp browser. The Block does not say limit orders are in the main swap button today.

The traction numbers for Arcus stock swaps are also from that statement, as The Block prints them. More than $5 billion in cumulative trading volume since going live. Over 15,000 unique traders. Total value locked of more than $28 million. CEO Eddie Zhang is quoted: early traction reinforces a belief that traders want markets that are global, accessible, and always on. Altcoin Buzz does not print $5 billion, 15,000, $28 million, or Zhang. It only says those kinds of figures were reported and were not confirmed on a primary source. If you cite the numbers, cite The Block's account of the company statement. They are not a second newsroom's independent count.

What the docs say instead

Altcoin Buzz, by Shashwat Gupta and dated Oct. 1, 2026, starts from the same integration and then reads documentation. It says the practical change is how a swap finds a price: market makers compete, and the user gets an executable quote rather than trading against one automated pool. It says the user does not pick a market maker. The wallet can route through Arcus.

It says Robinhood's developer documentation describes the initial RFQ setup as sourcing signed market-maker quotes through aggregators including 0x RFQ, 1inch Fusion, and LiFi. Wallets and exchanges can use those aggregators as a source of liquidity. The Block's opened text does not name 0x, 1inch, or LiFi. Those names are Altcoin Buzz, from the docs. They describe a Robinhood RFQ setup. They are not, by themselves, a claim that every Arcus quote travels through all three.

The same article says the tokens are standard ERC-20 assets, and that execution can come from off-chain quotes or on-chain pools. It says Robinhood stock tokens can trade through automated market maker pools, including Uniswap. Where on-chain liquidity is limited, it says the network also supports a proprietary market-maker-backed AMM called Rialto. RFQ, it says, is about how a swap is quoted. An AMM is about where liquidity sits. One stock-token setup can hold more than one model. That distinction is the useful part of the second page. The Block is about Arcus joining the router. Altcoin Buzz is about the router having several kinds of liquidity, of which Arcus is one.

It also prints token mechanics The Block does not. Each stock token is an ERC-20 with 18 decimals, transferable to any wallet, with its own Chainlink price feed using AggregatorV3Interface. The issuer is Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. Minting and burning in the primary market are reserved for Authorized Participants that have completed KYB. Those lines are about the token, not about Arcus's volume. Do not staple the Jersey issuer onto Zhang's quote as if one paragraph said both.

Altcoin Buzz then says the thing a hype post usually skips. The brief does not provide fee, spread, or execution-price data for Arcus-routed swaps. There is not enough on the page to say the route produces a better or worse price. The confirmed change is another execution path, not a published guarantee of execution quality. The Block does not claim a better price either. It claims a route, a quote model, points that may apply, and company traction figures. Silence on fees for Arcus stock swaps is shared. Only Altcoin Buzz says the silence out loud.

What the pages do not show

Neither page shows a worked example: a ticker, a quote, a fee, and a fill. Neither page shows whether the $5 billion includes perpetual beta volume or only spot. The Block says cumulative trading volume since going live, and it mentions perps in beta in a separate sentence. It does not say the $5 billion excludes the beta book. Do not invent the split. Neither page shows how many of the 190 tokens actually have a live Arcus quote at a given minute. "More than 190" is a lineup count, not a depth chart.

A points line with the word "may" is not an airdrop schedule. The Block does not print a points rate. Altcoin Buzz also says swaps executed through Arcus may be eligible for Arcus Points, and that limit orders are planned for the dapp browser, but that the brief does not set a launch time. Neither page prints a points rate. If you came for a farming table, these two pages do not have one.

People comparing tokenized-stock plumbing can read the Injective Stockdrop note for a different stock-token design, or the Robinhood Agents note for a Robinhood product that is about agents rather than quotes. Arcus stock swaps are the wallet route. They are not those posts.

What to do as a reader (not a trade)

This is not investment advice and not a suggestion to swap a stock token, farm points, or trade the names above. If you describe the change, say Robinhood Wallet added Arcus as one routing provider for spot swaps of more than 190 stock tokens, for eligible users, using competing market-maker quotes. Say The Block's statement figures are more than $5 billion cumulative volume, over 15,000 traders, and more than $28 million in total value locked, and that Altcoin Buzz does not repeat them. Say Altcoin Buzz's docs reading names 0x RFQ, 1inch Fusion, LiFi, 18 decimals, Chainlink, and Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, and that The Block does not repeat those. Say neither page shows a fee.

If you care whether a quote is better than a pool, the pages do not decide it. Altcoin Buzz says so. Believe the gap. Open the wallet only if you are eligible and only if you are reading a live quote, not a headline.

The pages are The Block's story and Altcoin Buzz's story. Where one has a number and the other has a blank, keep the blank.

Not financial advice. DYOR, ser.
